Your self-care challenge for a new sort of spring cleaning

No matter what the weather is like outside, the calendar made it official on March 20.

Spring has sprung.

It’s time to do some spring cleaning! You know the routine: Open up the house and clean out the clutter. Do some redecorating.  Start a home improvement project.

But why stop with your home and physical surroundings? Think about what emotional and mental clutter you can clean out to help you move forward with your life.

Our self-care challenge for you this week is to do some spring cleaning of your heart and soul. Let go of some of the unnecessary emotional baggage you’ve acquired over the years that potentially is holding you back from realizing your deserved happiness.

Perhaps it’s taking the steps to stop bad behaviors such as smoking or developing new routines like eating more vegetables, getting more sleep or smiling more 🙂

Keep track of your progress by visiting healthstorylines.com to set up your free account. Then download the free Health Storylines app and check out its tools such as “My Journal” and “Routine Builder” to help you track your emotional spring cleaning.

And remember to share how you are adding variety to your life by posting photos to our Facebook or Twitter and use #selfcareMVMT

    • Thanks for checking in, Meg! We are grateful to have our story included in this first-ever Progressive MS Day and hope it helps to encourage others living with this disease. Your story encourages us every day!

    • Totally understand! I’m wondering if it’d be more economical if we pooled our resources to rent a Dumpster from Waste Management for the weekend? Either way, happy spring cleaning!
