Water, water everywhere, but no respect it gets.
We mean, when’s the last time you said to a friend, “We should get together for a water sometime.”
Even though it’s the foundation of our human bodies, water often takes the social beverage backseat to the likes of coffee, wine and beer.
But we’re moving H2O to its deserved spot in the front seat with this month’s self-care challenge: Drink more water.
Standard estimates historically have encouraged people to drink at least 64 ounces of water each day. This amount isn’t set in stone and it varies from person to person, but it provides a ballpark amount.
Water makes up roughly 60 percent of the human body. It is a fundamental key for hydration and helping our bodies function. The Mayo Clinic highlights the benefits of water and its ability to get rid of waste, moderate your body’s temperature, cushion joints and protect tissues.
So use this month to focus on your water intake, even if it means meeting friends for a pint chilled on ice.

Thanks for checking in, Caroline! And right back atchya 🙂 So glad you enjoyed this post. We’re really trying to drink more … water! That’s right, water!
Water is about all I ever drink. I am so boring!
Living in Michigan, do you get any of the Flint good stuff?
More great advice from the dynamic duo–keep it up!
Thanks, Doug! Hydration is so important, but drinking lots of water also has its risks when living with MS bladder issues. After living with MS for two decades, give or take a year or so, we still are trying to find that balance between the two. Yeah, finding balance seems to be a common struggle in all that we do 🙂
